IIUC Finance Club

History

The IIUC Finance Club, established in 2015, is one of the earliest and most active student organizations under the Faculty of Business Studies (FBS) at the International Islamic University Chittagong (IIUC). Long before the formal establishment of the Department of Finance in 2025, the club played a pioneering role in promoting financial literacy, analytical skills, and professional excellence among students of the university.

Founded and led by its first President, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nazim Uddin (Professor of Finance, DBA, IIUC), the club was created to bridge the gap between academic concepts and the practical realities of finance and business.

Since its inception, the IIUC Finance Club has served as a vibrant platform where students engage in workshops, research, competitions, investment simulations, and networking events—all designed to help them understand and apply financial principles in real-world contexts.

After the challenges brought by the global COVID-19 pandemic, the club experienced renewed momentum, further strengthening its commitment to nurturing financially literate, ethical, and visionary professionals.

Our Vision

Our vision is to become a leading platform that cultivates competent, innovative, and ethically grounded finance professionals who can make meaningful contributions to both local and global economies. We aspire to build a community that encourages critical thinking, financial innovation, and integrity, empowering students to lead confidently in fields such as corporate finance, banking, investment, and financial analysis. The IIUC Finance Club continues to uphold its founding spirit — combining knowledge, ethics, and leadership to shape the future of finance at IIUC and beyond.
